Straight teeth may be your end goal, but let's not forget about all the steps leading up to it.
At Schur Orthodontics, we want your smile journey to be memorable for all the right reasons, which is why we pride ourselves on offering:
When your treatment is complete, feel assured knowing you not only have a beautiful, straight smile for the rest of your life but one that'll benefit your oral health and well-being too.
First, we'll talk to you over the phone or via a virtual consultation to discuss your concerns and goals. If you have insurance, we'll collect that information to help you maximize your benefits. Then, we'll schedule your exam.
You'll come to our office for a thorough exam. Dr. Schur will review your smile and share what he sees and potential treatment options, including timeline and costs. We'll be happy to answer any questions you have.
Next, we'll gather diagnostic records to plan your treatment more thoroughly. We'll consult with other treating doctors and schedule any other necessary appointments with doctors or labs so that your pretreatment planning is sequenced correctly.
Once everything is arranged, we begin your treatment. You'll come in for an appointment to get your braces placed, and will continue to return for adjustments every 4-8 weeks on average. Throughout your treatment, we'll maintain close contact with other treating doctors, ensuring your treatment plan stays aligned and on schedule. At the end of treatment, a set of retainers will be delivered to prevent any shifting.
The average treatment time with braces is 16 to 18 months. However, it can take more or less depending on the complexity of your case.
